Lindsey has shown me and my family such wonderful care and compassion. She has gone out of her way on many occasions, even on days when she was not my primary nurse. She was the first nurse to ask the doctors permission to leave the floor. She took me up to the sky cafe, it was the first time in 3 weeks I was able to view the beautiful sky and skyline. But the most meaningful time was when she made sure I had the opportunity to see my 14 grandchildren before my heart transplant. Because of flu season, the kids were not allowed up to my room. She made sure to ask the doctors permission and because of that I was able to see them for the first time in almost a month. It meant so much to me, it is hard to express it in words but I can not thank her enough!
