Lindsey went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of in every way. Being here so long and having to process what my new life was going to look like was very overwhelming and began to take a toll on my mental health. Lindsey came into my room to check on me and found me crying in the bathroom. She immediately comforted me and helped me finish cleaning myself up, she helped me into the bed and stayed and talked with me about how I was feeling. She didn’t leave my side until she knew I was ok. She reassured me that this transition was temporary and made me realize that my second chance at life is what I should keep looking forward to. She was so relatable, funny, and kind to my family, she always made sure I had a smile on my face before she would leave the room. She helped me to see that I needed to give myself grace and patience. I’m so grateful and blessed to have met her. All of my nurses were amazing, but I could never thank Lindsey enough for the way she took care of me.
