Our family would like to recognize Linet, RN, for the care she provided to my dad during his stay at Abbott. We drove 1 hour to ANW because we knew that is the #1 choice in MN. Dad was quickly admitted for urosepsis and treated promptly 4 days in the hospital with 3 – 4 rounds of antibiotics and other meds to help his body recover. He was put on a thorough “whole body” work-up, as he put it. While they found a few more unfavorable conditions off to his Florida winter home, no longer needing oxygen and swelling way “Down”.

She was by far the best nurse on the 3RD Floor. She was kind, attentive, and truly cared about the patient, My Husband, and went above and beyond her many duties. She seemed to be the only one who cared.  We don’t know much about her personally. I know she is from Kenya and has two young children, and when she smiled, it lit up the room. We know there is a huge shortage of nurses and help in general, but she just carried on her own sweet way.  Very rare to see these days in any professional but Linet was over the top and deserve this award, my whole family agrees.

He struggled to sleep well in the hospital and some of the weekend staff were not as kind to him. However, there was a favorite nurse by the name of Linet, who could have been, and he literally wanted to take her home to be his caretaker. What a KIND person with an amazing smile!! We love her. When times are tough, to have such a sunny disposition is so VALUABLE to a hospital. We cannot thank you enough for making Dad smile. Still today, this picture will make him smile.  Continue shining your light, Linet, and thank you so much for your kindness.
