Linnea R Werner, LPN

Linnea is an exceptional nurse and leader in one of the most important healthcare operation in the history of the VA and the local VA community. She started with volunteering as a staff nurse in the COVID-19 testing operation in its inception. She quickly exhibited her well-sharpened leadership skills when volunteering as the testing stations lead nurse. As a leader she inspires by example her staff to work to the highest standards of excellence in nursing practice and reverence for our esteemed veterans. I've often heard her say to her staff, "take good care of our veterans”. “Going above and beyond the call of duty” is routine in her performance in leading her staff and her interactions with veterans. She is a key player in coordinating daily care for veterans and with the consistent drive for processes improvement for enriched healthcare results. This award is an expression of gratitude from myself, the people she leads, collogues, and the veterans she serves.
