My 51-year-old husband was in the hospital for something we thought was fairly minor. When the doctor told me after surgery, he suspected stage 4 cancer, we were utterly shocked. Linsey was one of the first people I saw after receiving that news. She was so caring and supportive and listened while I cried.
Over the next two days, Linsey was our nurse. Her care was incredible. She was extremely compassionate and kind. She made us feel like the only patients she had. We felt like the most important patient. She was always able to anticipate my husband's needs. When we did need something, she was immediately there and helping.
Her last night as our nurse, she saw my husband needed to be disconnected from something and she came in with a smile on her face and backpack on her back and addressed his need before walking out the door to go home. Linsey is very genuine, but light-hearted at the same time. She is the perfect model/example of a nurse! We feel so blessed to have had her for our nurse. She truly affected our hospital stay in a positive way.
