I had spine surgery and my day nurse for 3 days was LJ. She was very attentive throughout the entire stay. She was very compassionate, caring, and effective in her job. One example would be when I had an itch on my back and asked my visitor to scratch it for me and while back there we noticed what looked like a welt that randomly came on. My visitor called my nurse LJ and she immediately went to work not only on trying to find out what could be the cause, but also keeping my visitors and I calm and reassured that this was the best place for something like this. She also went straight to the Dr. with our concerns and made sure every concern we had was addressed and taken care of in a timely matter. Also, LJ made even the smallest accomplishments I made a big deal, which ultimately gave me the strength and mentality to continue to make small accomplishments, even as small or as silly as a fart. She explained everything being done from medications being administered, to after care for when it's time to leave, and made sure I understood and had no questions before moving on. I want to thank LJ for being so amazing, caring, understanding, and stern when she needed to be. I know LJ is a great nurse because she is the only nurse I have ever wanted to take home with me! But unfortunately, we cannot do that, but LJ did say if we needed any assistance related to this stay or came across any unanswered questions, we could always call the unit for help. So overall, I would say if all nurses could be like LJ, the medical field would be the absolute field. Thank you very much, LJ for all the assistance, care, and love during our stay. I feel like we made a friend and medical family member with you! Thank you!
