Lisa consistently works as the charge nurse and has taken on responsibilities that go above and beyond that role.  She has played a pivotal role on weekends that facilitated consistent communication between doctors and staff and ensured smooth coordination among team members.   She actively facilitates communication between nurses, physicians, and support staff, which is crucial for maintaining efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.  

An example of her outstanding commitment to CRMH is during several power outages that occurred.  She took the lead without hesitation or question, followed the chain of command, and assisted the staff in coordinating the efforts to maintain the facility's safe environment while maintaining a calm atmosphere.  

Lisa played a pivotal role in the ability to identify a potentially serious safety issue at Mt. Holly regarding a disgruntled ex-boyfriend of the patient’s daughter who assaulted the patient and daughter, resulting in charges being brought against the assailant. After the incident, the assailant escaped and was wanted by the police.  This information was not disclosed during the admission. Lisa was able to obtain all the information from the patient regarding the incident when she was her patient on the weekend. Lisa immediately alerted the House Supervisor and Security, which resulted in heightened alertness and appropriate safety protocols for Mt. Holly.   

Lisa consistently fosters a positive and collaborative work environment by encouraging open communication and mutual respect among team members. Their ability to build strong relationships and maintain a spirit of cooperation has greatly contributed to the overall effectiveness and morale of our team. Lisa embodies the principles of teamwork and collaboration that are essential to exceptional patient care. Her contributions have made a significant impact on our unit’s success and exemplify the core values of the DAISY Award.
