One of my patients, a newly delivered mother, was put into a very difficult situation with the care of her other children. She had literally delivered just hours earlier. Lisa showed her such care and compassion and helped her to get her other children to the unit and helped the mother to care for them when no one else would.
The mother has since cried and told me of the situation and how Lisa went above and beyond for her.
I am always happy to know when Lisa has the care of one of my patients because I know they will be extremely well cared for. This is just one shining example of how she exemplified exceptional nursing care and compassion.
