Lisa demonstrates the utmost compassion, competence, and hard work for a truly exceptional nurse. She is an amazing charge nurse, always helps staff, and is always willing to give advice. Today she helped facilitate 2 codes on the unit. One patient, we did lose due to a poor outcome. The other was my patient an hour later. She and of course other nurses helped to revive the patient, but also later helped with intubation and taking the patient to the cath lab for life-saving measures. Lisa spent over 2 hours in the cath lab to help stabilize the patient while APP's and MD's helped facilitate patient care and transfer to Main. I hope that the patient makes it. Lisa gave him the chance to possibly recover. She also spent time with the family to explain and to reassure them. Lisa is one of the best nurses I know and is always there for advice and help. She is ready to take a leap in any situation to help staff and patient care. Truly exceptional!
