Lisa Bonds, RN

People always say “nurses” make the worst patients. My mom has been an RN since 1985, and she was no exception. My mom had to have two heart valves replaced, had a couple of complications, and had to be opened up 3 times in total. When she was coming off of anesthesia, she was hard to deal with and was constantly trying to remove her dressings/O2 and everything else she could reach. Lisa was the only nurse who could get her to respond or listen. The way she interacted with my mom was like they were old friends. It was interesting and, at times, amusing. Over the past week, we have all gotten to know her. My mom, who is finally awake after a few days and easier to deal with now, actually said she doesn’t want to leave the hospital because she likes Lisa so much. She is an amazing nurse and person and has made a difference in all of our lives, not just my mom's. We all love Lisa now… You literally saved our mom. So, thank you, Lisa, for being an amazing nurse and person.
