During my post-partum period my hemoglobin dropped to where I needed a blood transfusion and multiple iron infusions. Unfortunately, during this time I was too weak to travel to the NICU to see my newborn daughter. Seeing how sad I was that I couldn't be with my daughter Lisa took two pictures of my daughter, put them on a pink piece of paper and wrote, "Get better soon Mommy, I love you!!" I cried with happiness when she brought it to me. We posted it in my room and now it's in my daughter's baby book. This act of caring was extraordinary! It was a great surprise that helped cheer me up.
