May 2024 Honoree
Lisa Breza, MSN, RN, NEA-BC
We all know Lisa and how much she has done for the nursing division. She supported bringing the DAISY awards to RWJ Hamilton. All of us could tell a story of how Lisa has improved and supported nursing, so we thought, “Who better to receive the inaugural DAISY Nurse Leader Award than our own Lisa Breza?”
Lisa began as a staff nurse here, fresh out of nursing school. Over the years, she has worked in almost every discipline within the hospital, served as a leader in multiple departments, was our Chief Nursing Officer for over a decade, acted as our pro-tempore Chief Administrative Officer, and now holds that title permanently. She leads by example and has always had a policy of being available to anyone in this organization, regardless of title, discipline, or tenure. Under her leadership, this hospital has become a nurse-led, innovative, top-tier care provider to the community.
