Lisa knew her patient was worried about discharge the next day. She knew he was homeless. She wasn't his nurse on the day he was well enough to leave, but came into his room with a perfect jacket - sturdy, warmly lined, with a hood, and in perfect shape. Lisa brought this in from home for him! You should have seen his face—so appreciative, and so touched by Lisa's caring. His face and her quiet generosity will stick with all of us for a long time.
