She would talk to us about our daughter’s future and the craziness of being parents. Lisa could make us feel like everything was going to be okay, no matter what.
Our daughter was transferred to Cardinal Glennon soon after being born. While we were prepared for her to be transferred and her upcoming surgeries, having a daughter in this position was still scary. Lisa was our RN when our daughter was admitted to the hospital. She was warm and welcoming and immediately made us feel our daughter was in the best hands. We stayed in the hospital for 18 days, and Lisa was her RN many times during her admission. We loved seeing her when we walked into the NICU because we knew we would have a detailed update on our daughter's condition. Lisa always knew every detail of her current care plan, allowing her to answer our questions. When we were worried or having a hard time, Lisa would stay in the room and chat with us so we could take our minds off everything happening. She would talk to us about our daughter’s future and the craziness of being parents. Lisa could make us feel like everything was going to be okay, no matter what. We were so grateful that she was there the day we were discharged. It made our stay feel so complete. She was so happy for our family. We are grateful every day for the care Lisa gave our newborn daughter!
