Our family has been through so much over the last 15 years with different hospitals and rehabs. We can, without a doubt, say that every part of Encompass is top-notch. The main thing that is soooo much better is the nursing care. All the nurses are fabulous, but this nurse goes above and beyond. This nurse gave my sister and me such good peace when we would leave for the night when my dad first got to Encompass. We have experienced a lot of negligence over the years, and Lisa does not know the meaning of the word. Lisa is amazing, inspiring, and full of energy. She always makes Dad feel “good.” Lisa is aware of the overall health of the patient, mentally and physically. Dad had been in the hospital for several weeks before Encompass. She made sure he was showered and lotioned up because his skin was incredibly dry from the hospital and groomed him, which made dad feel so much better. When Dad did not have therapy, Lisa walked with him outside because he wanted to get up and get out moving. Lisa literally thinks of everything. She is so professional. It seems that everyone runs to Lisa with questions. Lisa is always “running” to make sure that everyone has what they need. I cannot think of a better person for the DAISY Award than Lisa Dyer.
