My grandmother was a patient and was told she was going to be receiving surgery and getting an amputation which she could not control. Lisa happened to be at the bedside performing wound care when she found out the news. Lisa did not skip a beat. She walked beside my grandmother, held her hand, talked to her, and was just a listening ear. Lisa spent about 5 minutes with her prior to her finding out, and she was able to identify my grandmother's personality and incorporated that when she talked to her during this grieving process, she had. She was able to uplift my grandmother about the situation, and she felt so much better after talking with Lisa. She continues to brag about Lisa and her great personality, communication skills, and wound care knowledge to her nurses and wound care staff now. Lisa is a great asset to MIH and an amazing nurse.
