For the first time since losing my husband, I feel like I matter. I have trust that someone will help me.
Lisa had many nominations. Below are summaries of some of her nomination forms. Lisa has been a great asset to the Van Buren County residents and VBCH. She has touched many lives and is making a great difference in our community!
Lisa is always kind. Always helpful. She goes above and beyond for me and every patient in our group. For the first time since losing my husband, I feel like I matter. I have trust that someone will help me. She has laughed and cried with me. She has even had to tell me that I need to be more responsible for myself. If more people were like her, the world would be a better place.
Lisa has helped me understand that the reason I don’t feel good is because I have anxiety and depression. Who would have thought that at 80 plus years old I would feel better than I have most of my life? Lisa never judges and I always feel like I can talk to her and trust her. She has also helped me get signed up for my veterans benefits, get my diabetes glucose monitoring through my phone and physically feel better by going to physical therapy. She really cares and wants the best for her patients.
Lisa always provides wonderful care to those that she encounters. I do not count as a ‘patient’ that she has taken care of, however, she has helped me in so many ways. She has given me tools and resources to help me get through some trying times. She is so encouraging and positive, but she is also real and not afraid to say truthful words that may hurt to hear. Her passion for the care she provides is so evident. Lisa makes a difference in the lives she is able to touch, she most certainly touched mine and I will be forever grateful for her.
