First I would like to tell you a little about my husband. He is the type of person who doesn't go to a hospital even to visit anyone, even in the doctor's office the mere mention of a needle will send him running from the room when it's not even for him. The thought of giving blood will put him in a bad mood and he will drag himself there kicking and screaming (of course not in front of anyone). So we had a day that he knew something was wrong and needed to come into the ER. He was so sick that the mention of needles and poking him didn't seem to get any type of reaction. Upon this visit they wanted to admit him as an inpatient but he refused, later that night he made a return visit and at this time was admitted. My husband was a very sick man and stayed for 5 days I believe, during this time I have to say Lisa Fauss made a huge impression on him. Not only did he make the realization that hospitals are not terrible places to be, but that he is in control of his health and the team is here to help him in any way that he would like. Lisa found a way to reach him through laughter and games. Each day, he would tell me about her so I knew this was a good fit. Lisa gave him many things to think about, she would give him education in different ways sometimes in small doses and other times with more, I liked that she was able to find a way to talk with him so he could understand the process he was going through and was able to help him to see the benefits of some life style changes. Lisa is a very kind, compassionate, and an expert in handling a person who would stay away. He now has a new profound outlook on hospitals and the care they can provide. Thank you, Lisa you are an angel to us.
