I am a nurse on the SDU (Special Delivery Unit), my unit was extremely busy and every bed was taken, even our triage room. We had a sick call from one of our nurses who was supposed to work a 12 hour day shift. We reached out to our staff, and no-one was available to come in. Lisa was the nursing supervisor on call that day. When she came on our unit to get status update, a patient came in, and had to go right back to the OR for a C-Section. Without asking, Lisa changed out of her beautiful dress, and put scrubs on, and went back with the patient for her C-Section. Lisa stated she was an OR Nurse for many years. Lisa was a blessing that day. She helped us out greatly.
Lisa is a wonderful nurse who always goes above and beyond. She is very professional in every way. That is why I am writing this letter for a DAISY Award. Lisa is a wonderful nurse, but most of all... A Professional and a friend who is always there to help out all her co-workers at CHOP! Thank You Lisa.
