Each time we passed Lisa would hold up a piece of paper to show how many rounds I made. I believe it was 6. She motivated me by holding up a paper each time my wife and I passed.
Lisa was waiting for me as I was wheeled to the room and just started with a conversation with me. Then she covered what I should be doing to speed up my recovery. I always call for assistance, walk, walk, walk, and the pain control - never let it get bad, they would take care of me. I followed the instructions. She would get herself and the team to fan me as if I were a Persian prince. I was really good at throwing some grapes. So my first evening she saw me walking around the unit. While at the station, I walked by and she did not hesitate to fan me with her hands and a huge smile. The next day I decided to do more walking with my wife around the unit. Each time we passed she would hold up a piece of paper to show how many rounds I made. I believe it was 6. She motivated me by holding up a paper each time my wife and I passed. She got the entire staff hyped. Later that evening we did another round and hit 8. She is a great motivator. She also visited my room a few times and we had great conversations. My wife and I have made a friend. You have a jewel and be sure to keep her!
