Lisa was an excellent nurse but, even better than that, a good person. Lisa had the ability to turn a not-so-great situation into a tolerable annoyance. When some nurses are efficient at their jobs at the expense of the patient, Lisa was excellent at the same time being empathetic, taking her time to listen/hear her patient's fears and concerns. She went out of her way to communicate the patient’s needs to the doctors and made sure to get back to me in a timely fashion. Even when the answer was not something I wanted to hear, Lisa came back and let me know while comforting me and letting me know everything would be all right.

It is difficult, to express in a few lines exactly what a wonderful person that you have working there. I was blessed to have her on not-so-great days for me, and you made an excellent choice hiring someone like her. Lisa exemplifies what I believe are the hospital's main values, “there when I needed her, and there for my every care.” Lisa made me feel like more than a name and birthdate, but feel like a human who just wanted to feel better.
