I am grateful for the patience, time, and attention she gave me when she was clearly busy with other duties.
I came in through the ED and was a patient on the 3rd floor, though I have no idea what section of the hospital I was in. I don't remember much of my time in the ER and only small bits and pieces of the tests I had administered. I do, however, remember my stay in my room, which is what prompted me to pick up a DAISY brochure as I was leaving. I would like to nominate one of the nurses, Lisa Graham, who was a tremendous support to me during a very trying time. As I recall, Lisa, worked two days in a row that were incredibly challenging for me. I am grateful for the patience, time, and attention she gave me when she was clearly busy with other duties. Her holding me up in faith that all was going to be ok. For providing a level of true "caring" that enabled me to step away from the sense of doom and gloom that I was fast moving towards after some not-so-great news. And especially for coming into my room the next morning, wearing a big smile to tell me I was going HOME! I also want to send a big "Thank You" to all of the nurses and staff who were on the floor during my stay. No one was going to let me frown no matter what. From the nice woman who cleaned my room daily, the lady who brought my meals, and the various nurses and assistants who let me interrupt their charting or whatever other tasks they were doing so that I could ask some insane question. Years ago I was in Methodist Central for most of a three-month period. The nurses and staff kept me going then and it is clear to me that the professionals at Methodist Germantown are all the same high-caliber professionals. My thanks go out to everyone!
