I have worked with Lisa for over 25 years. She LOVES her career and it shows in her work on a daily basis. Her strongest asset is that she is a fierce patient advocate. During surgery of a female patient who was related to one of the physicians in the room, there was a discussion as to what the ongoing treatment should be for the patient and she very clearly spoke up and said, “let’s just wait until the patient wakes up and makes her own decision.” This is one of many times I have witnessed her having the patient’s back.

We work in an area where the patient is particularly vulnerable and a nurse who can advocate that strongly is a blessing. Lisa is also a great team player. She stays late, covers team members call and offers to pick up cases when we are busy and the stress is high. She is a wonderful, dedicated nurse who is a credit to her profession.
