She has been a calming presence through the uncertainty of the pandemic. She has been a tremendous advocate for the nurse coordinator group, and it has led to increased job satisfaction for us; we feel that someone is strongly behind us supporting the important work that we do on our teams. She takes the time to listen and understand our perspective.
Lisa is an exceptional manager for our RN coordinator group. She is engaging, approachable, respectful, encouraging, positive, genuinely kind; she listens to our ideas and makes time for us. She is very deserving of the DAISY Award, and we want her to know how incredibly thankful we all are to have her as our manager!

I have known Lisa since she was a traveling nurse on the Inpatient Cancer Care Unit and have watched her rise through the roles in clinic, become a friend to many, supervise the MA/CNA group, take on more responsibility with the Infusion Nurses and eventually become the Nurse Manager of the RN Care Coordination team. Lisa is open-minded, open-hearted, down-to-earth and brings FUN to the clinic. She consistently gets involved in clinic celebrations and holiday activities (have you seen her Hulk costume?) and encourages others to join in the fun. She is excellent at recognition, using WAVEs, in-person meetings, cards, and gives in-the-moment, in-person feedback about what her colleagues are doing right and how to continue this! During the transition to Epic and the move to the Forest building, Lisa was instrumental in ensuring we, her employees, had access to information and teaching to prepare us for these monumental changes. She has been real in disclosing the issues and challenges but also very positive and helpful in problem-solving, encouraging, and cheerleading. She believes in her staff and their abilities to do great things, and this shows in her daily interactions. Lisa also takes on the very small issues that cause frustration (ensuring staff have headsets in the new building, access to supplies, and escalating issues to the pharmacy, lab, and scheduling). Lisa goes to bat for the nurses and advocates for nursing, patients, and families, keeping patient safety first. Lisa shows up. Plain and simple. She is a nurse and shows up for her nursing staff. Ultimately, this impacts patient care in a big way. I love working with and FOR Lisa, and I couldn't ask for a harder-working, more compassionate, and caring manager and friend.

Lisa is a wonderful leader! In her capacity as manager of the nurse coordinator group in the CBDC clinic, she is always available to talk and, most importantly, to listen actively. I genuinely feel like Lisa cares about my role but also me as a human. She takes the time to learn who I am and what is important to me both in and out of work. Lisa is practically helpful by ensuring gaps are covered, communication systems improved, and took the time to shadow every nurse coordinator to understand workflows and how our roles are similar and different from each other. When I sit down to my evaluations, the conversation feels real and when she gives feedback, it always feels constructive and compassionate. Lisa is generous with her time and has even opened her home to hold celebrations for our team. She is the bomb!

Lisa is by far the most incredible leader/manager I have ever had - both at this institution and others. She goes above and beyond for all her nurses to make sure they feel supported, heard, and valued. I love having her as my manager and nurse leader!

In the time that Lisa has been working in CBDC she has worked in every possible nursing role (or at least it seems like it). I personally have seen her shine brightest in her current role as Nurse Manager. I feel so fortunate to be able to work with her in this role. Whether it's chairs that are missing from the clinic space or challenging interpersonal situations, Lisa takes it all on with wisdom and humor.

Lisa is a phenomenal manager. She is a collaborator, a listener, and she is compassionate. She takes the time to check in and truly cares about the team she leads. She is a great advocate for us! I appreciate Lisa as a human and as a manager.

Lisa has been a great manager for the Nurse Coordinator group, and it's clear that nurses who have been here a long time feel very supported by her! She gained a whole new group of coordinators with BMT and has a really large group she is responsible for.

Lisa is an incredible manager to our RN Coordinator team in the CBDC program. She does regular check-ins with all of us to make sure we are doing well and always follows up on anything we bring to her attention. I know with 100% certainty if I ask her a question or ask for help, I will hear back from her in a timely manner. She also always has a way of making us feel heard while also being transparent with us at all times. This is something that I greatly appreciate in a manager. She also does kind things, such as hosting events for team building and bringing in treats on holidays, which is above and beyond anything expected of her. She gives feedback with kindness and respect and also celebrates our wins as well. Leadership roles are often a balancing act, and Lisa has figured out how to do this perfectly.
