Lisa stood out. Her attention to detail was, to say the least, exacting and methodical. My wife required pain medication because of the numerous staples it took to close the seven-inch incision on her back. Lisa was not only prompt with my wife's meds but also exhibited very real compassion and caring. She went out of her way to assure my wife's comfort in a difficult time.
So far I have mentioned what you might well expect from a nurse. The difference with Lisa is that she does all this with a real positive attitude. You can teach skills to a nurse. You cannot teach attitude. You cannot teach compassion. It is either there or it is not. That is why we consider Lisa Hanson to be a Super Nurse. She brings all that to the table, all the time.
