My husband and I had a trip planned to Nashville for April. In February, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Chemotherapy and radiation were scheduled for March and April. We had purchased non-refundable airline tickets for Nashville. When we told my husband's nurse, Lisa Harbeck, she wrote letters to two separate airlines to request refunds on our behalf, based on medical reasons. Both airlines refunded our tickets in full which they had not been willing to do when I first called them. I believe Lisa went above and beyond to get these refunds for use, which helped our financial situation at a difficult time and took some of the sting out of having to cancel our long-planned vacation.
