You could tell Lisa truly enjoyed what she was doing and truly cared for the patient.
Nurse Hawthorne was amazing. My sister and I drove 6 1/2 hours from New York to Ohio to visit my dad. They (the nurses) made an exception for us because our dad was so sick and not doing well. We arrived that night to visit him and she was caring for him. My dad has some pretty extensive wounds/incisions that were draining and she constructed a drain system for him that was working well and keeping the drainage away from my dad’s skin. She also took an extended time to explain everything that was going on with our dad so that we were up to date on everything. You could tell she truly enjoyed what she was doing and truly cared for the patient. Our father did end up passing away, but we wanted to recognize her for her amazing care. In all honesty, all the nurses that cared for our father while we were visiting were amazing with him and provided amazing care to him. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
