Lisa was by my bedside many nights after an excruciating ordeal and surgery. She was patient and kind, but always straightforward. It was like having my own Mom by my side but less weepy. Haha!
Lisa knew when to joke, when to celebrate, when to empathize, and when to correct something. She never just barked orders, nor did she stay silent out of apathy. She explained things concisely and relayed that she cared. She treated my family and visitors with respect and kindness as well. Her work ethic, empathy, kindness, and tough love are all I ever imagined a good nurse to be. And that's what she is and more.
Lisa is a joy and a breath of fresh air in a harsh world. It was an absolute pleasure being cared for by her these few days.
