Upon arrival to our room, Lisa introduced herself and greeted us all with a warm handshake. She was very professional and yet made a special connection with our family. She acknowledged our concerns and listened to our assessment of our father's condition. My mother was upset, frustrated, scared and was refusing to understand. Lisa was very compassionate towards our mother and told her she could spend the night if she needed to.
At discharge, I was thrilled to see that our dad's discharge nurse was Lisa. I couldn't thank Lisa enough for her compassion and understanding. She is a gem!
