Ms. Hooter is an Extraordinary Nurse educator/coordinator, managing the Employee Incentive Scholarship Program (EISP), National Nursing Education Initiative (NNEI) Scholarship, and the Nursing Student Affiliations programs.

In March 2022, Ms. Hooter was nominated by an appreciative DNP student, she writes. "The journey toward my DNP achievement was one of the most challenging endeavors I have undertaken in my life, but the most rewarding of it all is the goal accomplished and the remarkable experiences along the way. Ms. Hooter has become a beacon of light for me. Her hard work and positive influence made the arduous application process possible from start to finish. The warmth and support she gave me when I felt like giving up was priceless. I could never fully describe the amount of care she provided, but to sum it up, The NNEI program made it financially possible for me to reach my dreams of becoming a DNP, but Lisa made the experience worthwhile. I am so thankful for the support I received from nursing leadership, NNEI, and my mentor Lisa Hooter! May you help more aspiring nurses reach their dreams."
