Lisa had recently taken care of a patient on the fifth floor and the patient explained to me that "Without her I don't think I could have recovered. She understands me, is truly compassionate and I know that I will have a good day when she is here." I interject compliments like this from patients and family's every time she has a shift. Lisa is a phenomenal nurse who has a strong compassion for taking care of people. She takes great pride in stepping up to be charge nurse and takes the initiative to keep a strong open line of communication between all staff to make sure that the unit runs smoothly.
