Lisa Kennedy Sheldon is an Assistant Professor at UMASS Boston and an Associate Member of the Harvard Cancer Center of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, mentors students, contributes to the college and university and conducts research in communication in oncology care, survivorship, disparities in cancer care, and initiatives to improve cancer care outcomes globally. She was selected as a DAISY recipient for these reasons and also because she inspires and supports her colleagues every day and in extraordinary ways.
