Lisa Kovacs, RN
I am writing to share with everyone how incredibly lucky, blessed, and fortunate we all are at Riverview Hospital to have a person like Lisa Kovacs. She was my husband's oncology nurse navigator. This is a big word, Navigator. She navigated us along with the wonderful staff in infusion the whole way through my husband's illness. She helped "translate" doctor's notes, test results, etc., and made it all understandable. She was always available, always. She took such a personal approach in my husband's complicated case. She was always ready with information for use. She researched everything including treatment options, diet, and home care. And to me, she was and even after his recent passing, is support like no other. I definitely could not have gotten through this without her caring and genuine and sincere love. There are not enough words to express my appreciation.
Thank you, Lisa, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
