Lisa Mazzitelli is the epitome of a strong, confident and skilled behavioral health nurse. During a recent psychiatric emergency she deftly took control of the situation and deployed resources calmly and efficiently while verbally diffusing the environment for both patients and staff. She took care of the injured patient's medical needs, gave direction to the team, organized the paperwork, and reassured everyone involved with a professional demeanor that inspired confidence in everyone around her. In a very violent situation, she went above and beyond to care for everyone on the unit.
