Lisa was taking care of a patient who was made comfort care at the end of Lisa's shift. We were waiting for more of the patient's family to arrive and then would terminally extubated this patient. Lisa's care and compassion with the patient and his family was phenomenal. The family, especially his wife took comfort in Lisa's presence. She stayed with them even after her shift was over and she had already clocked out. The family just seemed to do better with Lisa there.
