Ms. Lisa not only loves her job, but she lives for it too.

A little about me.. I am 28 years old and have had pancreatitis since it came to light when I was only 5 years old. Every flare up leads to another hospital visit. Being so young and having such a chronic disease, I am more than often judged by those who don't know that this is genetic and I will deal with this for the rest of my life.

Monday evening, I was admitted for a flare up. Upon arrival to my room, I was immediately welcomed by the most compassionate, kind, hard working nurse, Ms. Lisa. Ms. Lisa walked into the room with a smile you could see from across the way. She was so sweet and not only happy to hear my story, but also shared stories about herself and things that she has dealt with in her life. She was understanding and patient, and took her time to attend to my needs; she even went as far as to set an alarm on her phone so that when it came time for my pain meds, she could provide me the comfort that I needed without any time wasted.

A lot of nurses say they come to work because they love their job. I believe Ms. Lisa not only loves her job, but she lives for it too. She is here making people feel comfortable, happy, and accepted, no matter the reason that they are there. She deserves to be recognized because it is people/nurses like LIsa who makes me smile even when it is raining.
