My 75-year-old mother was admitted to the floor due to having 2 "stuck" kidney stones that required surgery. All of the nurses and PCTs were great during the 4 days stay but Lisa was AMAZING! Mom was scared, in pain (A LOT OF IT), and confused at times (due to prior health issues. Lisa let Mom cry and tell her stories about life, the things she had been through. She never let my mother sit in pain. She never made her feel rushed when talking to her. If she had to tend to another patient, she came back to Mom. When they talked, she listened to Mom, really listened. By far the best care mom has ever had here. Lisa is an angel in human form. Her heart and love for her job and patients are so beautiful to see. She is such a calming, beautiful spirit/heart. I know that whatever she chooses as her field of nursing, there are going to be a lot of blessed patients who get to have her caring for them. Mom always said that she believes God places Angels around us at all times in our lives, and we both agree that Lisa is one of the greatest Angels that God placed in the nursing field and at Union Hospital. We pray that God continues to use and bless Lisa as she blesses others she cares for. She impacted mom in ways that we will never know, and we are forever grateful!
