Lisa was remarkable. Her friendliness and authentic demeanor meant a lot to me. She was attentive and compassionate. Even though I was only in the hospital for one day, Lisa made my stay enjoyable. She made me feel safe, and I knew from her demeanor that she was on my side to give me the best care possible. She kept me informed when I felt so confused about what the physician said or planned to do. I cannot tell you how that affected me. What a great feeling to have felt she was on my team.

She was by my side when I shared my concerns about my diagnosis. I am a nurse and I check out the care received. She was outstanding. She made my husband feel welcome and listened to. The best part is her expedited process to get me discharged on time. I had an appointment at infectious disease at 11:15 AM, and I didn't want to cancel it because I was supposed to start antibiotics for a severe bladder infection. She made the discharge happen, and I was able to make it to the appointment with a couple of minutes to spare.

The nurses on the unit, as well as the PCTs, housekeeping staff, were all great, but Lisa stood out as the kind of nurse who was kind, compassionate, and treated her patients with respect and dignity. I feel blessed that I had Lisa as a nurse.
