November 2014 Honoree
lisa moran, RN
My sister was four days post heart attack and stent surgery, not doing so well when Lisa came on duty. She walked in with a big smile, introduced herself and told us she had just talked with the doctors and she knew what her job was for the next 12 hours. She said "I have a plan!" She outlined exactly what she would help my sister do and exactly what the impact would be- improvement. She was right there throughout the day explaining oxygen levels, breathing exercises, IV input- resulting output- watching, caring, and being involved. She knew when to push my sister and when to ease up. She was positive and very affirming in ALL ways. She was an angel who helped my sister start on the long journey back to health.
Thank you, Lisa, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
