I would like to recognize Lisa for her professionalism, knowledge, and initiative. She has gone above and beyond my expectations, for the care of my child. She has been such a huge help for my family. As long and as many times as I have been here with my daughter, I always notice the same attitude and positivity she provides for us. Mrs. Nolen is a huge asset to this fine medical facility!

My daughter, T, was readmitted for the weekend. She previously spent 2 and a half months at CHKD, a large part of that in Neuroscience. All of the nurses in Neuroscience are amazing! This readmission was challenging due to communication struggles between T's dad and I. Lisa went above and beyond in helping to coordinate T's care in that challenging situation. When I couldn't be with T, she conveyed my concerns to the physician and kept me informed. During both hospital stays, I found her to be exceptionally proactive, informative, compassionate, and always seeking to do the best things for T.

Lisa is committed to providing excellent care not only to our patients but to their families as well. We consistently receive positive feedback from families commenting on Lisa's professionalism and knowledge. Her advocacy for our patients and families does not go unnoticed. She functions as a leader on the unit and sets a positive example for other nurses. She played an essential role in helping to educate our staff when opening the Neuroscience Unit. She is a self-starter and quick to take action to address areas in need of improvement. We are very fortunate to have Lisa as a part of our CHKD family, especially our Neuroscience Team.
