Lisa took care of an Emergency Department patient thought to have kidney stones. It was later determined - through Lisa's persistence - that the patient had retroperitoneal bleeding which is a life-threatening condition requiring emergent intervention. Through the many challenging hours that Lisa cared for this patient, she provided compassionate, thorough, and expert care to the best of her ability, resulting in a positive outcome. The patient's daughter called to thank Lisa for "providing exceptional care that saved my mother's life."
