Lisa was amazing during my labor and delivery. As this was my first pregnancy, she was unbelievably patient, kind and prepared me for what I could expect. Post partum pain and bleeding was not quite what I had envisioned and I felt totally supported by her. She shoo'd away my family when it seemed I had more visitors than I could take. Her compassion and support I will always remember.

I had the pleasure of having Lisa as my nurse during my stay at the Birthing Unit for my son's birth. Lisa has an amazing way about her and it really made our experience, which at times was scary and overwhelming, so much better. She is incredibly compassionate, calm and really made me feel that she truly cared for my well being both physically and mentally. She exemplified the meaning of patient advocacy and I never felt that she was in a rush as she took great care and time to comfort me, answer questions and ensure we were well taken care of.

I cannot say enough about Lisa. She went far above the call of duty in the four days she spent as my night nurse. Every day she came in and made me feel like more than a patient, like we were old friends. Although the stand out moment was definitely the day I was suffering from mild anxiety all day and just could not shake it. Lisa came in and just sat and talked with me and I could feel the stress just melt away. My husband said it was the first time he's seen me smile all day. As I've said she was more than amazing in every single way and I think it'd be crazy not to present her with the award. Thank you for having such amazing staff.
