I have been inspired by the practice of this one incredible nurse. She has been in our department for 30 years. She never lets her personal obligations stop her from giving exceptional care. Over the past few months she has taken care of a patient who has come to require extra attention. She has been patient and understanding of both the patient and family needs. While this patient requires constant attention Lisa never complains. She is patient, calm and always looking for ways to bring comfort to him. She thinks outside the box and pulls resources to give the patient what he needs. She has developed a discharge plan that will allow for a smooth transition home after a long hospital stay. She will often be found spending constant one on one time with this patient which will bring comfort to him. She is sensitive to the needs of the patient and their family. I am inspired by the constant dedication compassion Lisa shows all of her patients and families.
