Lisa Portela-Justice, RN

Lisa is the Kearney Breast Center Nurse navigator and works hard as the sole RN in the department to serve all the patients here in the breast center. She works very closely with the patients by being by their side during all the breast procedures, educating them on each set that they are experiencing and what to expect in the future. Lisa ensures that the patients are aware of all the options, best choices, and next steps. She ensures all the fears and concerns are addressed. She gives comfort, removing barriers, stress, and concerns. One patient described Lisa as having "angel eyes," which gave her a great deal of comfort during a scary time.

Lisa is also a major support person to the breast center team, ensuring that the clinic team is in compliance with our safety measures, patient safety, and caregiver safety. She demonstrates her deep passion for each and every caregiver daily by being open and available to everyone. She is so approachable, kind, and compassionate.
