My husband was admitted to the ICU from the Emergency Room with a broken neck. He was in such extreme pain to the point that the pain was not even touched by the medications being administered to him. Given his condition, Lisa was the most empathetic RN and did everything within her realm of care to help ease the pain and try to make him comfortable. The care she exhibited to my husband after surgery to help care for all his medical and personal needs was exemplary. She also took the time to make sure I was comfortable and to make sure I was eating as well. Her care was so special…above all the other caregivers we encountered…and helped to make a traumatic experience less stressful. She explained everything clearly to us and always had time to answer my many questions about his care. You may say that she was “just doing her job” and that this is what nurses do, but I’m telling you the care we received from this RN was outstanding. And…she was always upbeat and smiling. I can truly tell how much she loves what she does because it shows in the outstanding care she delivers. My husband and I were blessed to have her handle his case in the ICU, and we can’t thank her enough for the all-around great care she gave to us. She will always be our DAISY Nurse.
