I would like to recognize Lisa Rojas from 7 West for the outstanding and compassionate care she provided for my brother recently. At the same time my brother was hospitalized with some serious health problems, my elderly father fell and fractured his ribs. I could not be with my brother at the hospital so Lisa became the advocate for my brother. She went above and beyond to convince my brother to stay in the hospital and to receive all treatments and testing even though he felt he should come home and help with my father. When there was a misunderstanding with the attending physician related to some of the needs for my brother, Lisa worked tirelessly to get all this communication clarified so that everyone understood and my brother received the care he needed. Lisa helped me in more ways than I can describe in a few words. My brother and I both agreed that there is no way to adequately thank Lisa for the kindness and compassion demonstrated; then - we heard of the DAISY Award and there it was.
