Lisa Rothschild is always pleasant, positive, and approachable. She always sees the positive side of every situation. She is a wonderful preceptor to our new hires, she relates to her patients in a therapeutic manner. On a few occasions, Lisa has taken her money to buy patients coffee from Starbucks, a balloon from the gift shop or even flowers just to put a smile on their face especially when they are facing a bad diagnosis and they have no support. Lisa is often seen sitting in her patients' rooms, listening to their stories and giving them support.

Our patient’s remarks, “If it wasn’t for Lisa listening, caring and holding my hand through this tough day, I don’t know how I would have made it.”

Another patient wrote, “I have never met a nurse so attentive, caring, and compassionate, I didn’t like my breakfast and the kitchen wouldn’t send me something I wanted. Lisa went to the cafeteria and came back with the breakfast and Starbucks coffee, that made my day and I will tell my neighbors about Englewood.”

Lisa is often seen supporting our residents when needed. She demonstrates strong ability to analyze clinical problems and seeks input when necessary from her colleagues. Lisa is a reliable member of the 3 Cohen team and is often hand selected by new hires to be their preceptor. She is nurturing, attentive, an active listener, and very empathetic. She sees all patients as people that are valued, must be respected, understood, and asserted. No task is ever a challenge for Lisa; instead, she sees it as an opportunity for growth. Lisa always demonstrates professional two-way communication with providers and ensures that communication is kept open. Surgeons are often complementing the care she provides to their patients.
