Dear Lisa, Thank you for taking the extra time to look up “dad jokes” to share with my husband while he was your patient. While you provided stellar nursing care to him throughout his stay this week, I admired the way you responded to his “cranky old man” patient personality. Your ability to meet him exactly where he was mentally with his illness, while also giving some comic relief was something no other nurse has been able to do as well as you. Your loving care helped to ease both of our anxieties about his heart health. Blessings to you and your family! Hugs and love!
