I just wanted to let everyone know how thankful we are for the wonderful care that our daughter received before, during and after her surgery. The staff, especially her nurse Lisa, went above and beyond to make her comfortable. She was very scared after having to be put under anesthesia for a previous MRI at another facility. When we came to the hospital, she immediately wanted nothing to do with being there and was very scared of everyone. Lisa helped to make her more comfortable by easing her into everything. The life coach was also very helpful in bringing her a bear and playing with her and the way they allowed me to go with her all the way into the operating room so that she was not with strangers. This also helped me feel much more comfortable. Even though she was still scared, I knew she would wake up and I would be right there again. And whatever she was given for anesthesia made her wake up so smoothly. She was completely different than her other procedures. She woke up calm and not nauseated. It was maybe the exact thing she has had before, but this time was just so smooth. She was not ripping her IV out. Everyone just did an amazing job. Her nurse, Lisa was so calm with her when she got back from surgery and did some extra special things for her that we would never have expected. She went above and beyond what we ever could have expected.
