July 2015 Honoree
lisa snyder, RN
Recently I was admitted to UPMC Passavant from the emergency room. Since no clear diagnosis emerged quickly, the four days I spent there were painful, anxiety ridden and frightening.
While all the doctors, nurses, and aides were involved and attentive, it was Lisa Snyder who stood out among the crowd. She was always available with a kind and confident word; she spent time providing information and explanations about complicated medical issues; she made me feel comfortable in a decidedly uncomfortable situation.
Lisa personified the qualities we all want in a care giver: intelligence, dedication, compassion, and concern. My experience at Passavant was more than a positive one because of her.

Thank you, Lisa, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
